For the past three years, the Financial Times, in conjunction with Workday, has asked readers to nominate the European companies they consider to be ‘Tech Champions’ — for their development, or application, of technology to meet the big business challenges of 2021-23.

But, this year, to recognise a broader range of activities — and changing priorities in Europe — we are inviting FT readers and journalists to nominate companies that have reinvented themselves, in any way.

It could be a shift in corporate strategy; an innovative new product or service; a move to a new market; even a whole new business model.

Nominations may be made by anyone, including company representatives, using this simple online form (2 minutes to complete). The deadline has been extended to the end of Monday September 16 to allow more companies to be considered.

A panel of judges will then study the companies nominated and select the best examples from different sectors, naming them ‘Reinvention Champions 2024’.

This year, we invite entries from the following European sectors:

Sector categories
Banking and financial servicesTransport and logistics
EnergyMedia
HealthcareProfessional services
Industry and manufacturingProperty & construction
IT & softwareRetail and consumer

Those companies selected by the judges as ‘Reinvention Champions’ will be showcased in a special online FT report on November 13.

Accompanying articles will profile them and their senior management — examining their strategic shifts, what they changed and why, how they delivered, and their measures of success.

To make a nomination, click this link to our simplified online entry form, which takes no more than 2 minutes to fill in.

There is no limit on entries — readers and FT journalists may make multiple nominations, across all of the sectors. The closing date for entries is now Monday September 16, 2024.
